That doesn't even come close to infiltrating a crawl space to stage an 'accident' or successfully killing six people without them knowing it was me and then laughing hysterically in real life as I slaughtered the last trusting resident that the Brotherhood had me do. By comparison, the Fighters Guild missions were pretty drab up until infiltrating The Blackwood Company but even then the only stand-out moment for me was being able to legally kill that annoying prick Maglir. The rewards you get for doing all of them are extremely good (Shadowmare!!!) and there's something deeply satisfying about becoming leader of the guild and collecting your earnings every week from the very person you were earlier on in the story. Even when the story started to stagnate during the interminable deed drop period, bam, a huge twist occurs and the entire affair is reborn more dramatic than ever. The Dark Brotherhood missions have been the highlight of the game so far though, holding a very unique and engrossing story with more twists and turns than a roller coaster. I've thus far finished all the Dark Brotherhood missions, all of the Fighter's Guild ones and managed to clock the Arena inside an hour. It's time consuming nature has finally given me the stop gap I'd been searching for till ToAU arrives. Perhaps others have the discipline to stay on track and don't view it like this but for me this very thing is what makes Oblivion so special and gives it it's charm. By the time you get around to completing what you were initially going to do, five hours have passed and a bunch of cool new items have come to hand. During that, you'll get sidetracked by another random quest and then sidetracked again during that one. You'll start doing a quest and get sidetracked by another one. It reminds of times within FFXI where the flame is burning at its brightest and you can just log on and enjoy yourself for hours that feel like minutes. With the exception of logging on for Limbus and ENMs, all I've done for the past two weeks is play Oblivion because it's just so astonishingly good.
